FALL RIVER — The prosecution and defense strategies in the Aaron Hernandez trial have slowly emerged through the first five days of testimony.
“I think it’s a fascinating trial,” said Camera, who added that the defense team still has to overcome serious obstacles. Camera referenced home surveillance footage taken of Hernandez, less than an hour after Lloyd’s murder, in which he appears to be holding a handgun.
Said Camera: “If (prosecutors) can establish the footprints at the scene belong to Hernandez and the DNA comes back on the cartridge casing ... then you look at the home surveillance video, and if the jury believe that’s a gun in his hand, and it’s a Glock, and the cartridge casing came back with his DNA, and that cartridge is from a Glock, then that’s a problem.”
